Birdwatching in Tampines Eco Green (August 2019)

It has been a long while since i came down to Tampines Eco Green. A recap, Tampines Eco Green is a 36.5 ha eco-friendly park opened in 2011 with trails laid with soft grass rather than concrete in disturbed woodlands, open grasslands and [pockets of freshwater wetlands. Since its opening some of this freshwater wetlands have dried up and now overgrown in vegetation. If this was NParks attempt at "light touch" in making changes to mother nature, well it seems to be working. Surrounding Tampines Eco Green is development taking place ( on the opposite road as well as in the canal next to it). I wonder whether all this changes as an impact on the bird life here.

In my short trip, the only birds i saw were the Rufous Woodpecker, Sooty-headed Bulbul, Magpie Robin, Baya Weaver, White-breasted waterhen.
