Birdwatching at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (March 2020)

It's been a long time since i went birdwatching in Sungei Buloh. Since there is travel ban advisory and overseas trip are no longer possible due to Covid-19 pandemic, local trips around Singapore seem the best at the moment. Fortunately for now birdwatching is still possible. One of the most interesting things i saw today was the behavior of two different Heron's. The first one ( A Grey Heron) was how it was sun tanning itself with it's wings spread in an inward manner. The second photo of a Great-billed  heron with its plumage all blown up.

Unfortunately i went at a time when  there not many waders or shorebirds but nevertheless got to see Pacific Golden Plovers and maybe a Greenshank Sandpiper. I was fortunate to see the Painted Stork and Purple Heron as well.
