Oriental Pied Hornbills are now a common sight in Singapore. However their behaviour can be very interesting when you observe them closely. This hornbill was perched very close to me as i was walking at the mangrove board walk portion of Pasir Ris Park. Unafraid, it continue to strip of the bark of dead mangrove branch to forage for grubs or termites maybe ?
Whatever it was doing, it was still an interesting bird behaviour to document. I am happy to be able to capture and share this.
