This Parakeet flew and landed very close to where i was standing. For a short moment i could not recognise what Parakeet it was, but its beak and faint markings on it neck made me realised it could be a female rose-ringed parakeet.
In my earlier post, i shared a picture of a male Rose-ringed Parakeet. It was perched on the Palm Oil Tree and seen feeding on the fruits of the tree. Native to southern Asia and central Africa, the rose-ringed parakeet was popular as a cage bird all over the world and escaped/released birds have managed to establish feral populations and have become a uncommon resident in this region.
