Another interesting and beautiful bird that caught my eye during my bird watching trip to Pasir Ris Park was the Rose-ringed Parakeet. It was perched on the Palm Oil Tree and seen feeding on the fruits of the tree. Native to southern Asia and central Africa, the rose-ringed parakeet was popular as a cage bird all over the world and escaped/released birds have managed to establish feral populations and have become a uncommon resident in this region.
